Who is Michael Rossi?

Personal Information

Michael is a resident of Center Township.  He is the son of Justino and Dolores Rossi.  He is married to Mary Jane (Gallo) Rossi.   He has four children Jessica, Danielle (Rebich), Michael and Isabella.  In addition, he has two beautiful granddaughters: Amira Grace Rebich and Remi Alexandra Rossi.

Accomplishments

  • Member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish and serves as a lector. 

  • Served as President of the Center Area School Board of Directors for 2 years.

    • As President, had the distinct honor of presenting the official petition to then Governor Rendell to merge the Center Area & Monaca School Districts.

    • As President, opened and dedicated the brand new Center Grange Primary School.

    • As President, over saw the completion of a $25 Million dollar renovation to Center High School.

  •  â€‹Served 2 four-year terms as a Center Area School Board Member 

  • Served as President of Local 13000 Unit 54 for 8 years, at its peak, serving nearly 300 union brothers and sisters.

  • Served as Branch representative for 3 years.

  • Helped to organize Comcast workers in Pittsburgh to become members of the Communications Workers of America.

  • Served as a trainer in the “Train the Trainer” initiative sponsored by the USW & CWA.

  • Served as the Western PA region representative for the CWA on a joint CWA/Verizon safety committee.

  • Served 2 years as President of the Central Valley Education Foundation.

  • Currently serving on the Central Valley Education Foundation Board of Trustees.

    • The Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money for teacher grants & student scholarships. Monies are raised by 3 major fund raisers, (Reverse lottery Dinner, Golf Outing & Wine Tasting Event).  Currently the Chairman of the golf outing, raising over $20,000 for the event.

  • 2016 Inductee into the Center High School Hall of Fame for Community Service.

  • Public Address announcer for Center High School & Central Valley High School for 36 years.

  • Voice of the CJ Betters Holiday Classic for 25 years.

  • Voice of the National Champion Pittsburgh Passion for the past 6 years.

  • Voice of Robert Morris Lady Colonials Basketball.
